SportPark Pavilion 4

Allocation: £6 million. 

Plans to develop a Global Sports Hub centred at Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park (LUSEP) have been boosted by the LLEP’s grant of £6m from our Getting Building Fund allocation.  

The project will create a fourth pavilion at the existing SportPark centre, which is home to the greatest concentration of sports governing bodies in the UK, and home to world-leading sports science research. 

The scheme will provide:  

• 2,000 sqm of new floorspace 
• 165 jobs, and a further 157 jobs in the wider economy 
• stimulation of demand to bring sports-related businesses to the region, which will play a role in realising the ambition to create a global sports hub.
